ASHTON COLBY OUR FOURTH SON BORN ON THURSDAY 22ND JUNE 2006 WITH HYPOPLASTIC LEFT HEART SYNDROME. HIS BROTHERS DOMINIC, LIEM AND ETHAN MISS HIM VERY MUCH.
ASHTON WAS BORN AT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE HOSPITAL, LONDON AND TRANSFERRED THE NEXT DAY TO GREAT ORMOND STREET, WHERE HE WOULD UNDER GO OPEN HEART SURGERY. THE OPERATION TOOK PLACE ON MONDAY 26TH JUNE. ASHTON FOUGHT SO HARD BUT UNFORTUNATELY EARNED HIS ANGEL WINGS ON WEDNESDAY 28TH JUNE.
NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT WE DONT THINK OF OUR PRECIOUS SON, ALL OF ASHTONS FAMILY LOVE AND MISS HIM SO VERY MUCH.
OUR LITTLE ANGEL;
PRECIOUS TINY SWEET ONE,

SO PERFECT PURE AND INNOCENT,

We would like to thank all of our family and friends who have supported us through this bad time in our life, we couldnt have done it without you all. We would also like to thank all the staff on the ladybird ward at great ormond street hospital, london who helped with the care of ashton colby. To mary goodwin a wonderfull and special lady who has supported us through the pregnancy and after. To dr robert yates and martin kostolny two amazing people. Also to all the staff on the cardiac intensive care unit. And special thanks to a lady we will never forget, Hannah who was with us the day ashton became an angel, Hannah was the nurse on the intensive care unit who looked after ashton through the night. She showed courage and simply does an amazing job, thankyou.

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today

And I know I heard Him say.
'A Mother has a baby'
This we know is true

when your baby's not with you?'
'Yes, you can,' He replied
With confidence in His voice
'I give many women babies,
When they leave is not their choice.

I want my baby to be here.'
He took a deep breath and cleared His throat,
And then I saw the tear.

We go to earth to learn our lessons,
Of love and life and fear,
My mommy loved me oh so much,
I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom,
Who had so much love for me
I learned my lessons very quickly
My mommy set me free.
I miss my mommy oh so much
But I visit her every day.
When she goes to sleep,
On her pillows were I lay

Its been nearly two years since the day you fell asleep in my arms, i still see your face everyday.
